Quality Engineer

QUALITY ENGINEER

Position

The quality of our products and services is critical to OMG. The Quality Engineer develops and implements systems and processes that enable us to ensure the quality of these products and services to our customers. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this key position analyzes data collected and works with production resources to correct errors and make improvements. The Quality Engineer trains internal resources in Quality procedures and audit processes to guarantee the integrity of our products.

Responsibilities

Promote Safety as the Number 1 priority of OMG.
Participate on New Product Development teams to ensure built in quality processes.
Plan and implement quality control systems for new products.
Prepare and conduct training activities related to product quality and QMS awareness.
Lead supply chain management activities such as audits, metric creation and scorecards.
Lead quarterly third party audits with outside auditors and rectify associated findings.
Develop and maintain Quality System procedures, including internal and external audit procedures and standardized data collection programs.
Use process capability studies to verify specifications and standards for raw materials, products and processes.
Investigate customer complaints and lead corrective actions with process owners.
Verify implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
Verify Testing techniques through Gage R&R analysis.
Monitor and communicate current trends and advancements in quality practices.
Implement processes to improve turnaround time, precision and accuracy.
Research and implement improved measurement techniques and equipment.
Monitor Quality costs and implement ideas that will improve profitability and performance.
Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering desired (or related discipline).
Minimum 5 years of experience in leading and implementing quality improvements.
Black Belt certification and demonstrated use of discipline strongly preferred.
ASQ certifications preferred.
Strong statistical skills, experience using Quality Tools and knowledge of Lean Principles.
Ability to prioritize work assignments, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines with a high degree of quality and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
Advanced PC skills including experience with MS Office Suite (strong Excel skills required) and statistical software (Minitab).
Ability to successfully lead in a team environment.
Ability to predict and perform trend analysis.
Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and/or move up to 25lbs.
Positive attitude and good judgment.
Strong sense of responsibility and ownership!Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
